Procedure

The foundation of our research procedure began with establishing contact with various educational institutions. This initial phase was crucial in identifying and securing collaboration with schools that were conducive to implementing the AgileXR project's pilots. Engaging with these institutions, we then proceeded to liaise with teachers who would be directly involved in the pilot activities. Their insights and expertise were instrumental in tailoring the pilot to suit the educational context of each institution.

Concurrent with establishing these partnerships, we dedicated efforts to the preparation of the research instrument - the student questionnaire. This questionnaire, as mentioned in the 'Materials' section, was developed by adapting existing frameworks and integrating additional items specific to our study's objectives. The meticulous construction of this questionnaire was pivotal to ensure its effectiveness in capturing the nuanced perceptions and experiences of students.

Prior to the commencement of data collection, it was imperative to obtain consent from the families of the students involved. This step was crucial in adhering to ethical research practices and regulations concerning data protection and minors’ participation in research. Consent forms were distributed to families, detailing the nature, purpose, and confidentiality measures of the study, thereby ensuring informed consent was obtained.

An integral part of the procedure was the training of teachers. This training encompassed familiarizing them with the AgileXR project's methodologies and technological tools, enabling them to effectively facilitate the pilot activities. Collaboratively, we worked with the teachers to design and tailor these activities, ensuring they were aligned with the educational goals of each institution and the broader objectives of our study.

Once the groundwork was laid, the pilot activities were rolled out in the participating schools. These activities were designed to integrate agile methodologies and technological tools into the classroom setting, providing a practical context for the study.

Following the implementation of the pilot activities, the primary phase of data collection commenced. Both students and teachers were requested to fill out the questionnaire, which was designed to capture their perceptions and experiences related to the pilot. The data gathered through these questionnaires formed the bedrock of our research, providing valuable insights into the impact and efficacy of the AgileXR project in the educational setting.

The final stage in our procedure involved the analysis of the collected data, as outlined in the 'Data Analysis' section, followed by the synthesis and reporting of our findings. This comprehensive process ensured that the insights gained from the pilot implementation were thoroughly examined and accurately conveyed.
