# 2.1 Agile Compass for Education

From April 18th to April 20th, 2016, a group of passionate Agile Educators came together at the Scrum Gathering in Orlando, Florida. Their focus was on the realization that traditional learning methods no longer met the changing world's needs and the unique requirements of individual learners. They, along with many others, aimed to create more authentic and flexible educational approaches that could adapt to the needs of learners, educators, and our fast-evolving world.

Collectively, they gave birth to the Agile Compass for Education, a tool designed to help us build an educational system capable of quickly responding to the ever-shifting educational landscape. Specifically, the Agile Compass aimed to instill Agile values within the education community.

The individuals responsible for creating the Agile Compass include Arno Delhij, Guido van Dijk, Mark French, Erin Horn, Marmy Kodras, John Miller, Tomis Parker, Martin Peters, Robert Rodenbaugh, Krissyn Sumare, Marian Willeke, Willy Wijnands, and Mike Vizdos (who served as the facilitator).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://results.agilexr.eu/1-guide-agile-teamwork-in-web-based-learning/chapter-2-agile-in-education/2.1-agile-compass-for-education.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
