# Chapter 2 - Agile in Education

Agile methods initially emerged in the software industry but soon found their way into various other sectors, including education. Educators worldwide began to adjust and embrace Agile techniques in the classroom.&#x20;

In education, there are numerous and varied approaches to Agile, like eduScrum (section 2.2), Agora schools (section 2.3), and Agile Learning Centers (section 2.4). However, it wasn't until 2016 that a group of educators following Agile principles met in person at the Scrum Gathering in Orlando, Florida.
